Zelda64Mix!

"well"

submission: Zelda64Mix!
date: March 27, 2008

the percussion is way overpowering. instruments need to be mastered and louder.
3/5

in remixes it's better if you add your own unique thing besides new instruments. the percussion was the only thing you added, or so it sounded, and that aspect wasn't even great.

you need to master your songs. press f9 when you're in FL. that shows the different channels to master in. when you click on an instruments title when they're in the "box", a small little window pops up. in the upper right hand corner of that window there is a little digital number thing. click and drag to the desired mastering channel. hopefully that will help you with the quality.
but you really need to work on the notes. these are basic notes and they get boring.

Saria's Song 8-bit

"hey! nice"

submission: Saria's Song 8-bit
date: March 24, 2008

im glad there are other 8 bit fans on ng. i use FL as well. do you have those plugins like triforce, basic64, and magical8bit3? those are the ones i use and perhaps they'd give you the 8bit feel you were hoping for. i think the instruments are fine but when the bass came in, i think it would have been a lot better if it was an octave or so deeper. also, why not add a little percussion?

5/5. great job. 'n i posted two 8bit songs i'd like you to check out. they're titled omegabit. thanks

Living a Nightmare

"pretty cool^^"

submission: Living a Nightmare

you kinda got a Ozzy feel going there. lower the volume on the drums, turn up the vocals, work on some more interesting lyrics maybe..., make sure you're on pitch in the singing as well. (there were a few places where it got off a little) turn up the bass, maybe soften the bass a little too. pretty cool drums on the turn of about 5:00, it was a nice smooth segway to the ending.

Electric current

"sweet man"

submission: Electric current
date: March 8, 2008

at first i thought that dryness was only a fading intro, but then it stuck out through out the whole song...
repost this song with it fading in to normal dryness and wetness. still definitely have it sound like it does now in the intro though. i think that would make for a much better song.

Thanks, I might do that, or I might just make a entirely different song.

Sonic CD theme [8-bit]

"nice man!"

date: March 4, 2008

i love 8bit. i've been making a few myself and may post some. i think your stuff is great but i really would like to hear what kinda 8bit stuff you could make by your own...like not remixing. you'd probably be good with all this experience. PM me if you ever do.

i liked all the sounds in there. cool perc. and good balance of bg and foreground with the exception of the flutish main melody instrument. i think it should have been a little louder. 5/5

Glas you like 8-bit mixes!

As for working on actual origianl stuff, I can't do because
___A.) Alot of ideas I can think about is taken.
___B.) I'm not that good at this yet so I rather stay with this..

now this is tetris! great use of sound effects around the middle part and great instruments. i would have held back on the hardcore distorted guitar sound...

Pokemon TCG - Ronald's Theme

"hah, cool"

date: March 1, 2008

this wasn't actually bad, so i dont know why it got such a low score... the instruments are all good, i think its just the fact that the accidentals are sometimes waaaaayyy off beat, like it just loses it sometimes.

pretty cool still. i havent heard the original, but this is pretty jazzy... idk if that was your own spin on it.
3/5 b/c of the rhythm thing....

i dont think you should have had that guitar jingle bells major, it sounded a little cheesy. it would have been a lot better if you made it minor somehow.
